System Console Configuration
To configure Teradata Database on AWS software, you must use a system console that supports SSH protocol. After launching a Teradata Database on AWS instance, configure your console to allow connection to your instances. Sample console instructions are provided for PuTTY and SecureCRT.
If you are using a Mac Terminal, use the chmod command to ensure your private key file is not publicly viewable. For more information on connecting to your instance using SSH, see Amazon User Guide for Linux Instances.
