Configuring Teradata REST Services

Depending on how you launched your instance, use the following table to determine whether you need to complete this procedure.

After launching a Teradata REST Services instance, you must connect to the instance and log on to the Teradata REST Services graphical user interface.

You can use Teradata REST Services in the AWS public cloud or on-premises.

The time zone for the Teradata REST Services instance defaults to the time zone of the AWS availability zone.

  1. From the AWS Web Console, note the Public DNS of the Teradata REST Services instance.
    For information, see Connection Considerations.
  2. From your browser, display the Teradata REST Services graphical user interface.
    http://public-DNS:1080
    where public-DNS is the DNS host name of the Teradata REST Services instance.
  3. From the Teradata REST Services graphical user interface, log on.
    The username is admin and the password is the Teradata REST Services instance ID.
  4. Create a system.
