For Base, Advanced, and Enterprise license tiers, a site ID is a unique string that identifies your installation of Teradata Software for AWS to Teradata Customer Support. A site ID is not required to use Teradata Software for AWS, but it is required for Teradata Customer Support. (The Developer license tier includes only Community support and does not use site IDs.)
Existing Teradata customers with a site ID for a Teradata system on a different platform cannot use that site ID for Teradata Software for AWS. You must obtain a site ID specific to your AWS deployment.
When you register for Teradata Customer Support at http://www.teradata.com/aws/support, specify a site ID, starting with AWSTDB and followed by 9 alphanumeric characters. After completing registration, you will receive email containing your Master Customer Record, user ID, password, and confirmed site ID.
